Fascinating! Thanks for posting this. We're working on the plans for a few wind turbines and we'll think about this. Our turbines will be vertical (as opposed to the ones that look like giant fans) which also helps to keep birds (and possibly bats) from hitting them, since when they're in motion they look like a solid object.
